The MEC of Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements, Mamiki Qabathe, has committed that the provincial government will attend to service delivery challenges that have engulfed the Bolokanang Township at Petrusburg. This follows her meeting with community leaders and stakeholders this week to address the problems in the area. Homeless and hopeless … Motlalepula Mogorosi lost her home when irate community members torched her shack A group of community members have left an unemployed mother homeless and destitute. Members of the Khayelitsha community outside Bloemfontein burned down Motlalepula Mogorosi’s shack for reasons unknown to her a few weeks ago. Mogorosi was wrapped in a small green and black blanket and wearing a worn out t-shirt. She said these were the only things she has left. Sisi Mogorosi lives in fear because the Khayelitsha community in Bloemfontein has accused her of witchcraft and protecting her ‘delinquent’ children, who they say are terrorising them. This single mother works as a domestic worker to support her four children.
