As the MEC of education promises increased effort to promote access to free compulsory primary education in the province… Free State education MEC Tate Makgoe says his department will go all-out to raise the standard of education in the province through intensified compulsory basic education, currently standing at 99 per cent. The office of the Auditor General has commended Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality for improving its audit outcome, after it moved from disclaimer to qualified audit opinion for the 2015/2016 financial year.
