Kaybee Scoops Song Of The Year Award

Other than being in the news for controversial issues, Prince Kaybee’s talent speaks for itself.

The award-winning musician and producer releases hit after hit every year making him popular in clubs, parties, and many events.

At the recent DStvMVCA Prince Kaybee won Song of The Year Award, making it the third consecutive time winning it.

In 2018 his hit song Charlotte won the award, and in 2019, he won the award with Club Controller. Now in 2020, Prince Kaybee bagged the same award with Gugulethu featuring Supta, Afro Brotherz, and Indlovukazi

Given the track record, Prince Kaybee took to social media to suggest that he should present the Song Of The Year award at next year’s DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards, after having won the award since the awards show’s inception.

After thanking fans from his home province, the Free State, Kaybee took to social media and suggested that he present next year’s Song of the Year.

“Can we do something about this? Maybe from now on I should present the song of the year award myself, what do you guys think?

Kaybee’s remarks were warmly welcomed by his fans who agreed to the proposal.

Kabza De Small was the biggest winner with two awards in the Favourite Rising Star and Favourite DJ categories.

It was a grand celebration of local talent as the stars who entertained us all through 2019, and the loyal DStv customers who supported their work packed the Northgate venue to the rafters.

Ukhozi FM VJ Khathide ‘Tshatha’ Ngobe walked away with the Favourite Radio Personality award as well as the biggest award of the night – Ultimate Viewers’ Choice Award, an accolade reserved for the nominee who earns the highest number of votes overall.

Moshe Ndiki (Favourite TV Presenter), Siyanda Maphumulo (Favourite Comedian), Kabza De Small (Favourite Rising Star; Favourite DJ), Warren Masemola (Favourite Actor), Sindi Dlathu (Favourite Actress), King Monada (Favourite Music Artist/Group), Siya Kholisi (Favourite Sports Personality) and Bonang Matheba (Favourite Personality of the Year) rounded up the winners’ list.
