Vetkuk and Mahoota to heat up Bloem

Coming back from a memorable night, thanks to Dj Show D birthday party, the Thoughts Lounge will heat up the City of Roses today with their winter party which features South Africa’s finest house DJs, Vetkuk and Mahoota.

Under the theme Fresh, this will be the thoughts first winter party of the month, with many expected to follow suit during the cause of the youth month. Omphile Nkoane and well-known social light expressed excitement over the line-up referring to it as solid and balanced.

The show will once again see two separate stages being put to cater for both hip hop and house music. “It was important that we cater for our broader market, hence the two genders,” said Nkoane.
“Much as we predominantly strong crowed that favours house music, we also have those that are hip hop fans and therefore it was imperative for us to strike a balance and we’ve done just that,” he added.

The big draw card on the night will feature Vetkuk and Mahoota, two prominent Djs who need no introduction in South African music industry. On the night, the two will be supported by Hlokoza Nesty, Misty Deep, Show D and Dj Hunter all house spin jockeys.

On the other side, Hip Hop fanatics will be entertained by Les D and one of Bloemfontein’s rising hip hop jockey Veenushka.

Speaking to The Weekly, Mahoota real name Zynne Sibika expressed delight in being part of the event, promising fireworks on the night. “Our fans know that we don’t come to play. Whenever we get a chance we always deliver and things are not going to be different this time around.

“We’re coming there to not only have funs with the fans but to set the stage on fire,” said Mahoota, in telephonic interview yesterday.

The event is expected to be huge success and Mahoota, over the years has demonstrated to have a strong crowed in the City, subsequent to his two main events; Spring Bash in September and his birthday carnival celebration in May at Cubana. Over the past 5 years, the two events have drawn large number of crowds not only from the City but neighbouring provinces such Northern Cape and Eastern Cape.

Nkoane said all was in place for what is certainly going to be one of City’s biggest night out.
