The happy couple … Adv. Steven Mabalane and Gloria Boitumelo Hottie will exchange vows.
Legal eagle Steven Mabalane is officially off the bachelors list.
He recently stole the limelight at Tebogo Megalenyane’s wedding, which was held at West-end Club in Kimberley on Saturday, when he proposed to his girlfriend of nine months, Gloria Boitumelo Hottie. The power couple is set to get hitched later this year at a wedding that promises the glitz and glam.
Mabalane is the co-director of MabalaneSeobe Incorporated and is a specialist labour lawyer who advises the Minister of Labour on labour law. He has also served on the Labour Court and the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration. Hottie is an Epidemiologist in the Northern Cape.
According to a friend of Hottie who attended the eventful wedding, Mabalane shocked everyone when he went down on one knee with a little box in his palm and asked the 38-years-old beauty to spend the rest of her life with him.
“It was like a dream, I have always known that they are made for each other but I guess we did not see this one coming.”
Shortly after saying “yes” to the Advocate, the flabbergasted Hottie posted her engagement on social networks and told the whole world how excited she was.
“Good things come to those who wait, finally I am getting hitched. My man is a special case, when he took out the ring to put on my finger I was so excited, I couldn’t stop laughing at him. It was classic,” read one of her comments.
Although the two have not decided on a wedding date and venue, Hottie hinted that she wants a summer wedding preferably held in a garden. It is also said that Mabalane has already started with the wedding preparations. Expensive Italian shoes are to be flown in for his better half.
“Steve is a real charmer, he spoils my friend rotten with expensive gifts. Imagine if he can buy her Christian Loubotin shoes randomly what more can he buy her for their own wedding? This is definitely going to be a wedding of the year affair,” said Hottie’s confidante.
