Alleged sex pest pastor ‘not on the run’

Some congregants of a Durban church have come out in support of a pastor who has been accused of sexual exploitation of young women. The Hawks confirmed this week that they were investigating charges related to human trafficking and sexual exploitation related to the church. Man saved from prison term after exposing minor to porn

A Bloemfontein man this week narrowly escaped prison when he received a suspended five-year sentence after being found guilty by the Bloemfontein Regional Court of exposing a minor to pornographic material. Thabiso Joseph Seeco, 32, was arrested on September 27, 2014 after he was accused of showing explicit pornographic material to a boy then aged 10 years old, during a family gathering in Phahameng Township in Bloemfontein with the intention of grooming him for sex. Cop killed by shot fired by colleague

A Cape Town police officer was killed after his colleague apparently discharged his firearm while cleaning it, the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) said yesterday. The officer was hit in the chest on Wednesday night and died on the scene, according to Ipid spokesperson Moses Dlamini. He confirmed they were investigating the death and that no arrest had been made. It was understood that the two officers were constables from the SA Police Service’s stabilisation unit.
